Biography

Wang Xiaojun, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Plastic and Aesthetic Quality Control Center of the National Health Commission, Chairman-elect of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Chairman of the Plastic and Injury Repair Expert Committee of the Bethune Charitable Foundation; he formerly served as Director of the Plastic Surgery and Medical Aesthetics Center. He serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the Chinese Edition of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; as an editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery and Chinese Journal of Aesthetic Medicine; and as a reviewer for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Chinese Medicine Journal. He has led multiple national-level research projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and other sources. As first author or corresponding author, he has published more than 150 papers in core journals and SCI-indexed journals, and has compiled several professional books in plastic surgery as chief editor or associate editor. He has undertaken undergraduate teaching at Peking Union Medical College and has trained more than 20 doctoral students. He has been engaged in plastic surgery diagnosis and treatment for 35 years, with a focus on basic and clinical research in immediate breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, comprehensive plastic surgery treatment of localized scleroderma, external ear reconstruction, comprehensive scar treatment, and facial rejuvenation. He formulated the clinical treatment protocol for immediate breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery at Peking Union Medical College Hospital. His project “Establishment of the Diagnosis and Treatment System for Keloids” received the Third Prize of the Chinese Medical Achievement Award.
